Affidavit

Affidavit is a statement or declaration made under oath before a person with authority to administer an oath, such as a notary public. Affidavit can be made for different purposes such as one made to correct the spelling of one's name or to declare one's age.


Everything written in an affidavit must be true and if it is not, it constitutes an offence known as perjury.
