Precedent

In common law legal systems, this word may be used in two different ways. One, it may mean judical precedent which has been previously explained. Two, it may mean a sample which could be a document being used as a guide to prepare another one of its kind.

All the court papers which form part of this book towards the end are meant to serve as precedents.
