It is a statement made at the police station by a suspect in which he voluntarily confesses to the commission of the alleged crime. For a confessional statement to be useful for the purpose of prosecuting its maker it must have been made willingly and the confession must relate to the instant crime allegedly committed by the suspect not another crime which is different from the one before the court for which he is being charged.
